Nurturing kindness

Releasing potential

Kindity is a fresh new expression of fun and learning in early childhood. We combine a Montessori-inspired kindergarten curriculum with an approach inspired by design thinking, to enable young children to master academic skills, empathise with others, develop ideas, and problem-solve collaboratively.

Vision

At Kindity, we model a culture of co-creation, I CAN mindset, and shared-purpose.

Built on the robust framework of the FIDS model – Feel, Imagine, Do, Share, our processes and practices aim not to simply nurture children to do well in school, but to release their potential to do good in their communities and beyond.

We want to instill kindness in children right from the beginning, so that they will grow to become good global citizens who actively care about the world around them, collaborate with one another across boundaries, and contribute to more inclusive and peaceful societies.

Method

Montessori is an approach to supporting the full development of the human being. As an educational system, it is used in over 22,000 schools worldwide and has a longer track record of success than any other educational approach in the world.

Our timetable is not dictated by the school bell. Our learning programme includes a range of explorations, experiences and provocations that have been designed to maximise learning opportunities. Coaches ensure optimum use of time while being flexible about what has to be done, when, and for how long, depending on its purpose, interests and abilities of the child.

Programme

Pre-Nursery

1.5 to 2.5 years

Our toddlers programme offers a curriculum that emerges from each child’s unique skills and interests. Based on daily observations, coaches introduce new materials and activities that encourage curiosity and stimulate learning. Learning objectives for your child at this age include developing skills such as language, concentration, problem solving, visual discrimination, and physical coordination.

Nursery

2 & 3 years

The nursery environment provides kids with an early and general foundation that includes a positive attitude toward school, security and a sense of order, pride in the physical environment, abiding curiosity, a habit of concentration, habits of initiative and persistence, the ability to make decisions, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility to other members of the class, school, and community.

Kindergarten

4 & 5 years

Our students will venture through their own journey of discoveries through our specially designed ‘Areas of Discovery’. Through these areas, their discovery each day is endless. From learning to gain control over their bodies, looking after themselves and their environment, to learning to read, write, count, and gaining an understanding of the world around them.

“…he is such a great kid…it is a reflection of all you are doing with him at Kindity.”

Chaterine Coach, Sports Programme Planner

Chaterine finds joy in working with children and has been doing so for the past 2 years in Jakarta in a private school. There, she supported the music, arts, and craft classes for students aged 4 – 6  years old.

To her, the best part of teaching is being able to see children grow and develop, not just academically but emotionally and spiritually as well.

She believes that having good role models are important and people learn by doing. With that philosophy, she hopes to keep improving in her skills and to one day be a good educator for the kids.

Vivian Coach, Curriculum Planner
